Cisco 3560 Connection issue

Hi, I have a really odd problem with my Cisco 3560 (with POE) switch. The ports of the switch are all set to various VLANS (access mode), except 1 port that is set as a trunk. The problem comes when I connect my QNAP NAS drive to 2 of the designated ports for the drive, with the NAS switched off and connected directly to the Cisco switch the green port lights are showing, but as soon as I switch the NAS on the port lights go off and I am unable to bring the ports up. I have connected a laptop to both of the ports in question and it connects without an issue. I have also tried connecting the NAS to other ports on the switch but still get the same outcome, oddly though when I connect the NAS to some basic unmanaged  switches on other networks and basic home routers the NAS connects to these without any issues. Any help or advice would be most welcome

Connect and power on the NAS.

Post the output of these commands:

show logging

show interface status

show int X/Y (the interface connected to NAS)

show spanning tree details

Are the two ports configured as an Etherchannel or not?

Hi, no the 2 interfaces are not set up as etherchannels, I hope this helps

From log file I cannot see issues.

In the past I has similar problem with 2960. I fixed it with an IOS upgrade.

My suggestions are:

1) try to upgrade IOS and test again

2) try to fix the speed of the port to 10 Mbit/s (it's a test)
