I have question about Cisco Supervisor 8-E. Switch Capacity up to 928 Gbps.
But it can 48 Gbps per slot. Normally if we have 48 GigE port with full duplex switch forwarding need 96 Gbps, right?
So if sup8E can suport only 48 Gbps our line have full operation or not?
And if we have 12 10Gb line card. what can it use with full operation?
Thanks,
Mano

Sup8E has 8 uplink ports of 10G each.
In a 10 slot R+E chassis, you can have 8 linecards using 48G / slot capacity.
Now with simple math you can achieve
(8x10 + 8x48)x2 (for bidirectional) = 928G

How many line card can i use 4506?
4 line card right? If i use 12 10gb line card with full ports. It mean we still can forward only 48 gbps? Thanks for your answer.

The capacity per slot is fixed ie. it can only be 48Gbps per slot.
Even though the supervisor can support up to 928Gbps that doesn't mean any unused capacity can be used by a particular slot.
So in answer to your question, yes, you will still only get 48Gbps per slot regardless of how many slots you do or don't use.
