Cisco 6509 catos information and convert to IOS

Dear All,

I have Cisco 6509 with catos and I am new to catos. I want some basic information about catos. Please find the following show ver and modules inside 6509.

  You have a hybrid box , the layer 3 side is already  IOS while the layer 2 side is catos.  You are looking at the layer 3 side as you are in the MSFC .  The layer 3 routing is setup on this side and any layer 2 stuff like vlans, trunking etcc is setup on the catos side.  You have a very old sup1 card which is not convertible to strickly IOS  so you are basically stuck with a hybrid box.  PS I would be very surprised if this box will support any kind of 10 gig cards but I coul dbe wrong.
