Solved: Cisco 831 CEF Problem

Hi,

I have problem to enable CEF on my Cisco 831 router (2Eth+4FastEth ports). As I can conclude, default IOS on it (12.3(2)XE3) supports CEF, but I have problem with enabling. When I type "IP CEF" in config mode, router stop responding for a few seconds, and after that in "sh ip cef" output I get "%CEF not running". I would be grateful for the answer.

You're running a pretty obscure version of IOS. Upgrade to either a 12.3T or 12.4 mainline release and see if you have better luck.

I've replaced my IOS with 12.4(8), and now I can enable CEF on my router. Thank You for the answer.
