Need help with a cisco switch C2960x TS-L
I was trying to updated the IOS using latest tar file available on cisco website for this switch.
  • Firstly I lost the web interface after upgrade later on while trying to upgrade manually using tftp and putty I deleted IOS files from flash and flash1.
  • Now its stuck in this place.
switch: (Maybe ROMmon mode)
I am unable to handle it or upgrade it anyways.
If anyone could help that would be great.
Thanks in advance

how many switches in the Stack

what is the exciting version and what version you try to upgrade ?

If only 1 switch failed as part of the upgrade.

remove the switch from stack member, take it offline.

do the ROMMON recovery and make the switch number and priority. switch off and connect to exiting stack and Power on, the stack should able to identify the switch and join in part of the stack

here ROMMON recovery :

Download the BIN file (any version will do fine just to get the switch operational) and transfer it to a USB stick (maximum size 16 Gb, FAT16).  In ROMMON use the following command to boot the IOS from the USB thumb drive:  boot usbflash0:filename.bin

Once the switch boots up normally, use the CLI to upgrade the IOS using the TAR file:  archive download-sw usbflash0:IOS_filename.tar
