Hi,

I have two Cisco C9500-24Y4C switches in a StackWise Virtual configuration. We are currently using 40-Gig ports for the SVL, and I need to change the SVL link ports to 10-Gig interfaces. How can I make this change with minimal traffic disruption?

hi @frank_dux , SVL configuration need to be do separately and need to restart the switch. so my suggestion is to take a down time and reconfigure the SVL. if you have many stacks, you can plan in different windows to have minimum interruption to the network.

Hi Kasun,

What is the best way to perform the reconfiguration? For example: should I shut down the standby switch, remove all its cables, then power it on so that it assumes the active role, and without any links I can safely reconfigure the SVL? And how should I approach the reconfiguration of the other switch?
