Cisco CAT 6500 and Nexus 2348TQ Compatibility

We are planning to buy Cisco Nexus Switch 2348TQ.

We already have CAT 6506E and 6509E Switches.

There are three queries we want to confirm before we can finalize the purchase.

1 - Does STP Domain works same for Cisco CAT 6500 and Nexus 2348TQ ?

As they will be connected under a single infrastructure, so will STP run on all of them.

2 - Do both Product Lines share same VTP Domain if connected to eachother ?

Cisco CAT 6500 acts as Server mode and Nexus as Client/transparent mode, or vice versa.

3 - Is EtherChannel compatible between Cisco CAT and Nexus Switches ?

If we make it on 10 Gig or 1 Gig ?

Hi,

It is Fabric extender and as far as i know it needs to be either plugged on to Nexus 5k or 7k.

It cannot be connected to 6500.
