I would like to know if Cisco Catalyst C1300-24XT is capable of 1 GbE and not only 10 GbE?

It does not seem to have any 1G port with the exception for the management port.

The 4 SFP+ ports should support 1/10g.

Thank’s for the reply, my question is for the reason that I have to replace
my older SG/SX350 switches with newer models and SG/SX350 has no
problem with 1GbE on 10GbE ports, but what about C1300-24XT?

You're welcome. Why not to consider the 9200 series?

The 9200 has a much higher TCO, although the support is better and hardware is better. You have to justify the need for the increased cost to go to the 9200.

Hi,

According to the Admin Guide:

"Copper Ports—Regular, not Combo, support the following values: 10M, 100M, 1000M, 2500M (type: Copper) and 10G."

Please see the speed setting as per beneath:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/campus-lan-switches-access/Catalyst-1200-and-1300-Switches/cli/C1300-cli/ethernet-configuration-commands.html#wp3067314301

Best regards,

Antonin

That all the possible speed settings the CLI may support but not all Ethernet ports support all those settings.

According the admin guide, the 10G interface negotiates 10G, 5G, 2.5G, and 1G. Would be nice if someone from Cisco can confirm.

Hello @Joakimwork

Regarding the matrix compatibility, it seems that SFPs 1G (fiber and copper) are supported. You should also verify the minimum IOS version of your platform in order to support these SFP.

The question is about auto negotiation speed options on the 10G copper ports, not the SFP ports.

Mmm OK @kmccormick

Thanks.

Best regards

Here is what the CLI guide shows. In the example the for te1/0/1the speeds advertised for 10G copper ports are 10G, 5G, 2.5G, and 1G. We just want clarification if that is true because the datasheet just list the ports at 10G. Not specifying multi-gig or the other compatible speeds is confusing. If the 1300 XT switches do support those 10G, 5G, 2.5G, and 1G on the copper ports we would be more interested in them.

Not the Cisco Catalyst C1300-24XT, but Cisco Catalyst C1300-12XS which has 2 ten gig combo ports.

The combo ports show support for 10G 5G 2.5G and 1G.
