Hi!

I have a Cisco IE-4010-4S24P and I tried to save the configuration but it shows the following error:

Building configuration...
SD write failed!
SD read failed!
SD write failed!
SD write failed!
SD write failed!
SD write failed!

Error: There is insufficient space on flash to write the configuration
Error: file "sdflash:/config.text.new". Remove unnecessary files and try again.[OK]

Regards.

Hi

We could save config-file now but when I tried to save config from a tftp server the issue still goes on

Wait.  Wut?

The SD is damaged/broken.  Did someone made any attempt to replace the broken SD something else?

How do you know it is damaged or broken, because of the (I/O error)SD write failed log?

We have not made any attempt to replace the SD, do you recommend to RMA it?

Thanks in advance.

Yes.

IF the SD has the "Cisco" logo on it, yes.  RMA the SD.

Thanks for the information.

Raise an RMA based on the serial number of the switch.  And then tell them about the error message (or even this thread) from the SD.

WARNING:  Make sure to raise TAC cases during RTP/North America or Europe time and avoid the other TAC "desk".

I have already done the replacemnte of the SD memory but the issue still goes on, any comments?

Thanks in advance.

If the problem persist, RMA the switch.

you mean that boot the ios in flash not sdflash, after that try to save the configuration?

I really appreciate your comments.

Post the complete output to the following commands:

  1. sh version
  2. sh boot
  3. dir
