Hi wondering if someone can clear something up for me about load balancing. Got an etherchannel with 4 ports bundled in it. The load balancing method is set to src-dst-ip. I believed this would an XOR on the last 3 bits of the source and destination MAC address to decide which port traffic would be sent down.
I used the etherchannel 5 load-balance command on a variety of different source and dest ip combinations and it always came up with the same port. Has the load balancing algorithm now changed?
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 10.10.10.10 20.20.20.21
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 10.10.10.11 20.20.20.21
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 10.10.10.8 20.20.20.21
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 110.10.10.32 20.20.20.21
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 10.10.10.10 20.20.20.32
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 10.10.10.11 20.20.20.33
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 10.10.10.8 20.20.20.34
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2
SW#$etherchannel 5 load-balance ip 110.10.10.32 20.20.20.35
Dest Port: : TenGigabitEthernet2/1/2

You need to post what version of code, how is your port-channel config:
refer below document how Cisco does this LB :
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/lan-switching/etherchannel/12023-4.html

Cisco 3850 running 16.3.5b. LACP layer 2 port channels. Don't think that document covers my version as test etherchannel load-balance is replaced with show platform software fed switch active etherchannel x load-balance.
But based on the outputs of that command the algorithm for load balancing must have changed.

both the side same Switch ? can you share the config ?
