Hello All,

I am facing issue while upgrading Cisco Nexus 3048 from 6.0(2)U3(7) to target release 9.3.12.
Upgrade path is :

NX-OS 6.0(2)U3(7) > NX-OS 6.0(2)U6(2a) > NX-OS 6.0(2)U6(10) > NX-OS 7.0(3)I7(8) > NX-OS 7.0(3)I7(10) >NX-OS 9.3(12)

But while upgrading from NX-OS 6.0(2)U3(7) > NX-OS 6.0(2)U6(2a) i am getting error in impact check as : service "bfd" : BFD feature is enabled. Upgrade will be disruptive !!! .
Question : shall I upgrade or first disable BFD feature and then proceed. I did disabled the BFD feature but after upgrading on one node all the configuration of BFD was removed from interfaces, Kindly suggest the best practice.

"disruptive" means that service will be (temporarily) unavailabe
>>> I did disabled the BFD feature <<<
=> this may have removed the BFD configuration from the switch, not the upgrade?
CONFIRMED:

release notes for NX-OS 6.0(2)U6(2a) do not mention any limitation about BFD => check the other versions release notes
I suggest to keep BFD enabled while upgrading, and plan and communicate downtime for this
