I currently use a Cisco SGE2010P (PoE) for my default gateway for all of the network. We also utilize a hosted VoIP solution and I have a static route that sends this traffic out a dedicated line for just voice. Works great but I would like to add in some route redundancy in the event the main line goes down. I tried creating a second route with a metric of 200. When I tested this the traffic would not route over the second one with the higher metric. If I changed the metric it worked fine for me. Any chance I can accomplish this or do I need to look at other hardware to get this done?
