Cisco switch - use several ports for WAN usage with MGTM assigned to them

Experts,

I have Cisco 3750 and have vlan 111 created with name WAN_VLAN, assigned ports gi0/1 - 5 and that works well. In that way, I have separated these ports from others and I can use them for WAN purpose.

Here is the other part. I need to be able use health check from Peplink using ping method for these 5 ports. Is there any way to achieve this? Without affecting other ports which are used by LAN.

I guess I have to assign some sort of MGTM IP for these ports but not affecting WAN.

Thank You

Hello,

you cannot assign IP addresses to those interfaces and at the same time have them in the WAN_VLAN. Actually, looking at the Peplink manual, I think the WAN Health Check is designed for physical WAN interfaces with an IP address. I cannot find a reference to SVIs...

thank you, I was told I did not need MGTM IP, any external Ip should be fine like ISP DNS and Google.

Exactly, you need an external, public IP address, which is either assigned to the Vlan interface OR a physical interface, not both at the same time...
