Hello,
I am going to buy the cable for our cisco switch trunk lines of the data center, and is confused by the types.
As I'm not familiar with it, consider choosing CAT5e or CAT6.
I searched on Google and see the blogis this blog true or not?
Can anyone kindly advise and also tell me the reason?
Thank you in advance.

CAT5e and CAT6 both supports 1G speed. if you have 10G links, use CAT6. suggest to use CAT6 because it is more common and have high capabilities. below table from https://www.router-switch.com/faq/cat5e-vs-cat6-cable.html

I would always go with cat6 now. Dont know if there can be big price difference some places, but of those two i would chose cat6.. Might even consider cat7 when its datacenter.
