I have an etherchannel between a Cisco 6513 and Cisco 4948. I see the load unevenly distributed, is this reason to be concerned? Does my ethernchannel need to be tweaked? I want all three interfaces on my Port-channel evenly distributed, see below the output on my Cisco 6513 named Cisco_111 and Cisco 4948 named Cisco_804. Please let me know if I have any reason to be concerned.

Hi Manny,
You will not see even load-sharing between each member-links even when you have recommended port configuration. Because load-sharing is done on per-flow basis instead per-packet basis.
EtherChannel load-sharing between each member-link is pre-computed based on hash that resulted from different "input", 6500 supports wide range of L2 to L4 load-sharing input mechanics.More the flows and higher the granular load-sharing method you use, better the load-sharing across each paths. So depending applications running in your network, you can adjust default load-sharing from global configuration mode to acheive best results.
There are some recommendation documented in design guide that you may leverage...
thanks,
rahul.

I don't think you have reason to be concerned.
Take a look at this document that explains it a little bit and gives you the options. Maybe you would prefer to balance by another method that more evenly distributes the load. You can even test which link the traffic would go over.

The best-practice and recommendation to bundle
number of member-links is 2, 4, 8 in single L2 or L3 EtherChannel. This is because it allows system internally to load-share traffic based on number of buckets. Refer to Figure 2-28/Chapter 2 in following design guide.
thanks,
rahul.

Hi Rahul,
I have another Cisco 6513 that is using two Port-channels, should I see even traffic distribution across the GbE? Both Port-channels have only two members.

Hi Manny,
You will not see even load-sharing between each member-links even when you have recommended port configuration.
There are some recommendation documented in design guide that you may leverage...
thanks,
rahul.
