config-register 2101 on Cisco 4507 issue

Currentlt I have a Cisco 4507 has the following info.

Hi,

Yes you are correct, you want the config register to read 0x2102, a setting of 0x2101 will result in the router/switch booting into bootstrap mode when it reboot.

Bootstrap mode is used for you to run a mini IOS, when your main IOS image is corrupt, this lets you config an IP address so you can download a proper full image.
