Configure multicast routing

Hi,

I had 3 small LAN that are connected to a 3750 as the core switch. If I were to configure multicast routing between LAN 1 and LAN 2 on the core switch, does I need to restart the core switch after the configuration? Thanks

Hello,

Most certainly, you will not need to restart the switch. In fact, only a very few configuration changes on Cisco devices require you to restart the device. Do not worry - if your 3750 is already configured to support unicast routing, the multicast routing may be added without restarting the device.

Best regards,
Peter
