We have two Nexus 9000 (C93180YC-FX) that we need to connect to a WS-C3750X-24S. The vendor who sold us the switches said that all we needed was to install the transceivers and set the speed to 1000. I installed the transceivers, connected them via a 50/125 OM3 cable. The lights on the ports don't light up. Any ideas, or will we have to buy twinax cables and a C3850-NM-2-10G= for the 3750?

At this stage, it is difficult to say what is wrong.
what is the inventory you purchased, what ports connected between 3750 to nexus?
can you post-show run both the switch. let us know what interface connected.
post that show interface ether x/x from nexus same form 3750 side

On the 3750 it's GigabitEthernet1/0/15, on the nexus it's Ethernet1/3. I am under the impression that the Nexus supports 1/10/25.

check the patch cable, how far these device any Frame room or patching involved ?
try interface command - no negotiate auto (both the side)
also, post
nexus :
show int eth 1/3 trans

show int gi 1/0/15 trans

the no negotiate worked for the Nexus, on the 3750 it was speed nonegotiate.

On the nexus the port is lit up, on the 3750 it's still dark. I tried a different transceiver too (same model)

Those changes didn't help. I'll look at buying the 10G module for the 3750 along with the twinax cables.
