Hi All,
Recently deployed Cisco Catalyst 3850-48P-E Stack Switch. I am receiving a lot of syslog messages
''''Controller port error, Interface Gi3/0/28: Power Controller reports Short detected''''
Switch Software version : 03.03.02SE RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
I have IP Phones and some access-points on these switches to supply power to. These messages have been populating recently only.
Can anyone kindly help with details of this issue and resolution as well ?
Many Thanks
Sandeep

Thats not "Bad Cable " instead , we got the same error, which results in shutting the Port down with "Error -disabled" ! This only occurs with Model 9300 + T1 Cable ....connected to Tw Ports ....yes i know T 1 is crap , but there is no other Chance at that special Customer atm
Solution : ...."power inline never" on every inv. Port
