cucm and switches

Hi Cisco Techs,

Is there a hardware compatability list that shows what switches can be used together with cucm 6.0.1 and how cucm is

supposed to recognise cisco switches.

Whether that would be a L2 or L3 cisco switch

And how cucm sees vlan interfaces, sub interfaces etc and trunks

Thanks in advance

Hi,

You can connect cucm to any switch you want. Cucm is the application that load on a server and the server/host can connect to any type of switch. The switch could be layer-2 or layer-3.

Thanks reza is there a link that I can use for this please

Hi John,

I don't know of a spesific link that show how the cucm supposed connect. It basically can connect to any switch.  If you are deploying this in a data center environment, in most newer deployment companies use Cisco Nexus series switches, but it can connect to any switch.

Don't suppose it would be auto connect

I have  read some guides but nothing directly to indicate
