Hello,
I am working on an Audio/Visual system with 2 types of network traffic (standard data used for controlling devices and Dante which is a network audio protocol that uses mulitcast streaming). The switch I'm using is an SG-350-52MP. In this instance I want to segregate the traffic. In the past I would create 2 vlans (1 control and 1 Dante). I have a network microphone (Shure MXA-310) that only has 1 physical interface but has 2 mac's and ip's I can configure (1 control and 1 Dante). There are a total of 4 ports that will use dante and control on the switch and 1 port that uses just dante. All other ports are just control. Is there a way to configure the dante/control ports so that I can get the control traffic to/from it to the control vlan and keep the dante traffic isolated? I'm not sure if there is a way to sub-interface a physical port or just something else I'm missing. Thanks.
