Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem of slow speed in LAN, where there are two servers communicating with each other. one of the server is in VRF A and other server is in Global routing.
I tested that when I am putting these both server in global routing (traffic not going to Firewall for inter vlan routing) then I am achieving the speed of 6 GBPS and when in normal scenario (one of the server is in VRF A and other server is in Global routing) the speed is reducing to 300 Mbps.
Inter vrf communication is through Firewall.
whole media between source and destination is of forty gig and 10 Gig mixed environment.
please suggest what can be the problem.

Gurbinder

Hello @gurbinder.kabbay ,
the problem is the Firewall on the path with IPS active and not inter VRF routing by itlself
From 6 Gbps to 300 Mbps means it is a bottle neck.
create a test VRF not going via the Firewall and make the test with it.
Hope to help

Is there other traffic that goes to or through the firewall? Is it similarly slow? I wonder about the possibility of a duplex mismatch in the path to the firewall which could cause low throughput.
