I am running 12.2 on an old Cisco 3640. It is not connected to the network and I am looking at it using the console. I have copied the config from another 3640 that is in production. The config is the exact same but when I do a sh ip rpoute on the not connected router I get a Gateway of last resort not set. The config is the same on both routers. Am I getting this because the router is not connected to my network?
Any help

Hi,
if the router can't recurse the next-hop to an outgoing interface then the static default route will not get installed.

Hi,
If the router is not connected to the network, that means all interfaces are in down state, therefor the ips will not show in the routing table.
