Hi All,
I need to cross check the documentation, but the question is, will it possible to configure 3560 Switch as DHCP server and assign IPs to only one vlan (not to other on the same switch).
ex: Vlan 20, 30, 40 existing on switch and switch is running OSPF (core switch) with int vla 20/30/40... created. Now I want the switch to be able to provide IPs dynamically to vlan 40 only. Other Vlan PCs got static IPs.
How can I accomplish this..? Please suggest.
Thank you

Hi
Yes u can do that.
U need to create the dhcp pool for just vlan 40.
Thanks

Define only one DHCP pool on the switch corresponding to the VLAN 40 network.
eg. vlan 40 = 10.10.10.0/24
ip dhcp excluded-address 10.10.10.1 - 10.10.10.10
ip dhcp pool vlan40
network 10.10.10.0 /24
default-router 10.10.10.1
dns-server x.x.x.x
