Hello all,
I need to re-create a Windows DHCP server config on a 3850 switches stack. No problem for scopes without vendor specific options but I need some help for the VOIP phones scope :
On the Windows DHCP server, I have several options with Vendor "MSUCClient" and then hex values.
How can I config them on the switch ?
Thank you !
Pierre.

Hi
Cisco switches/routers only have a stripped down dhcp server settings compared to an actual MS server , your not going to get all the options , you should always use a real dhcp server where possible , its just a feature on a cisco switch/router , your options will be limited compared to MS

Hi,
Ok, thank you. It's on a branch office where we won't have an MS DHCP server for the moment so we have to find a temporary solution.
I found this link : http://www.shudnow.net/2011/05/02/configuring-lync-dhcp-using-cisco-dhcp-servers-vlan-and-pin-auth/
I will try and do some tests and if it's not working I'll see if I can put the dhcp on the firewall.

Hi
You could also use a helper address so it could reach the HQ MS DHCP server from the branch office , I have remote sites setup like this , where the DHCP is centralized in HQ and feeds out to the branch sites

Yes, that's what we did at first but for some reason we have to do SNAT on the HQ firewall, and when the DHCP receives requests with a different source address it does not work...
So I think my only options are DHCP on the switch or on the local firewall, right ?
