Hello All,
Could some please tell me what the below log means:
System image file is "flash:packages.conf"
Last reload reason: reload
if the device was rebooted physically or restarted remotely or what it means exactly. And how is reload different from reboot and restart.
Please help.I am confused.

Hi,
They all mean the same thing! On Cisco routers and switches the terminology is " reload " to "restart" the device. You tend to hear the term "reboot" from us older guys.
But as I said it all means the same thing.

They are synonymous often the terms are interchanged. Richard is correct.

If the router/switch shows in show version that it was reload someone actually typed it and restarted the router
If someone does a hard reboot pulls the plug or it looses power you will see returned to power-on
This shows the type if outputs you see in show version
