Differences in functionality depending on the SDM template

Hi all,

For example, in Catalyst 3850, is there a function that becomes invalid by switching the SDM template?

I think it will only change the TCAM allocation, is that wrong?

Hello,

if you change from 'Advanced' (the default) to 'Vlan', Policy-based routing ACEs, Input Microflow policer ACEs, and Output Microflow policer ACEs are affected.

Check Table 1 in the document linked below:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3850/software/release/3se/system_management/configuration_guide/b_sm_3se_3850_cg/b_sm_3se_3850_cg_chapter_01011.html

Hello Georg,

Thanks for the reply.

Similarly, when changing the SDM template from'Default'to'Routing' in Catalyst 3750-X / 3560-X,
there is no function that cannot be used, and PBR can be used by changing the TCAM assignment. Is it correct in understanding?
