Does Catalyst 9300 includes network essential base license once smart licensing is enabled?

Hi, I saw one catalyst 9300 switch the license status like below:

    smart licensing is enabled, but the device is not registered and eva license for DNA and network adv are already expired. but the switch works as normal. 

anyone can please help explain the meaning of the license? does the switch default include the "network essential" base license when purchase the switch? And why the status is smart licensing is enabled but the device is not registered? please advise, thanks.

yes if the device not contacting smart license server, you have base license still runs.

if you have only base license you do not need to worry, but if you have advanced license then some features stop working ?

to understand better post show version

we have observed to even though license expires still works.

Questions :

1. Do you have License for Network-Advantage ?

2. if so please re-register with smat License get new features.

( for your Luck it was not working, if any enforcement done, your network will be down or malfunction due to features)

so register now or soon. (switch required internet connection to get Licensed) - there is also offline server available free from Cisco if you have thousands of devices in the network.

if this is only device then do it using cisco smart license.

A: we don't have the license for Network-advantage. We just need basic feature-- layer 2 + static route (layer 3). So even not register for smart license, won't it be any issue, right?

You do not like any support from Csico for any further issue.

for basic feature you should be fine, but for the basic feature if you purchased - it good to register with Cisco smartnet for perpetual permannet License.
