Hi,
Does N3548X support 40G SFP+ ? When I issue "show interface description", I found some interfaces speed are marked as 40G.
These interfaces hardware are also show 100/1000/10000/40000. Any ideas ?
The N3548X is running version 6.0(2)A6(7).
Regards,
Todd

Hi,
We have recently purchased two of these, but they do not QSFP (40Gb/s).
I believe you can use a QSFP to SFP+ fan cable (x4 SFP+) if you are intending to uplink to a Nexus 5k for example.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your suggestion. I just wonder why the interface speed show below information.

Hi,
From 3500 datasheet:
"40 Gigabit Ethernet is achieved on the Cisco Nexus 3500 platform by combining four sequential SFP+ interfaces into a logical 40 Gigabit Ethernet port. The resulting interface is fully compliant with the IEEE standard for 40 Gigabit Ethernet and thus is interoperable with any other 40 Gigabit Ethernet device, regardless of interface form factor, including Quad SFP (QSFP)."
From 'sh int description' : One port for every four ports showing as 40Gig- My understanding is combine 1/1-4 to use Eth1/1 as 40G ports for config purposes.
Below is the link (check 'Transceiver and Cabling Options' section):

Hi MS,
Thanks for your clarification and I will remember this. If customers have question about this speed, I should be able to answer them.
Thank you All.
