doubt with fex active-active configuration

Hi,

i have a pair of nexus 5548 with a pair of nexus 2232 configured in active-active mode (each n2k are connected to each n5k with  2 interfaces port-channel)

so my question is that, the interface configuration of fex interfaces are not synced? so if i modify the confing about n2k's ports on one n5k i need to manualy do the same config on other n5k?

i ask because i configure an interface on fex102 and on other nexus the same port of the fex102 has default config.

thanks

Andrea

Hello @knack81 ,

you can take advantage of Fabric Services over IPv4 to keep in sync the configuration.

see

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus2000/sw/configuration/guide/n9k_rel_703I11/b_Cisco_Nexus_2000_Series_NX-OS_Fabric_Extender_Configuration_Guide_for_Cisco_Nexus_9000_Series_Switches_Release_7x/b_Cisco_Nexus_2000_Series_NX...

both for new deployment and for an already existing deployment

Warning: the config guide is for Nexus 9000 and FEX, it should apply also to Nexus 5548.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

yes the configuration need to be configured both the side, if the device FEX is dual homed - this is general practice.

check the config as below :
