dual-active fast-hello, static routes and VRRP

Hello.

Should I configure Dual-Active Fast-hello before or after converting to VSS?

Also, I have different routers connected to my two 6500 and so I have different static route. Imagine the following routes:

- ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 (6500-1)

- ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.10.1 (6500-2)

How does VSS handle the situation of diferent static routes? Are they preserved after the migration is complete or do I need to add the static routes from the passive 6500?

Hi Joao,

Follow the sequence in this document to convert to VSS.  Also, in VSS environment, you are logically dealing with one switch not 2.  So you static routes will be applied on the primary device.  The primary device will sync the config to the stand-by. You only configure one switch.

Edit: no need for VRRP or HSRP anymore
