Hi all, can anyone tell me how fast we can get e1 lines, and what are the benifits of the channelization ?

E1 lines give you 2.048 Mbps at MAX. With Channelized E1, you can share the E1 time slots among various sites. I.e you take a thick pipe of 2 Mbps at the central site and ask ISP be channelize it and give you 512Mbps each at 4 different branch locations.

Hi Carl
You can do something like this..
controller E1 3/0
framing NO-CRC4
clock source internal
channel-group 1 timeslots 1-4
channel-group 2 timeslots 5
channel-group 3 timeslots 6
channel-group 4 timeslots 7
channel-group 7 timeslots 10
channel-group 8 timeslots 11
channel-group 9 timeslots 12
channel-group 10 timeslots 13
Timeslot mapping is totally based on the bandwidth being subscribed at the remote locations ..
