Ehterchannel at Distribution Layer

For a while let us disconnect the distribution layer switch to the core.

Predominantly, what Ether-channel type (L2/L3)  is used between distribution layer(DL) switches in the campus network world.

If you recommend L3 EC,

1. How VTP information could propagate between DL switches natively

If you recommend L2 EC,  Any demerits apart from the below

1. Manual VLAN based STP load balancing  unlike routed ECMP
2. Already STP Loop prevention mechanism is on because of the bundling

Depends on model you choose and business want to deploy. is is VSS or SVL or Layer 3 model ? what kind of License you have on edge access switches ?

Personally i go with Layer3 - but things are changing in SD Access to Layer2 and VXLAN
