EIGRP static route not advertised to Layer 2 adjacent neighbor

I have a static route defined on Catalyst 4500X switch that I am redistributing via a route-map.  The route is received on layer 3 connected neighbors, but not on layer 2 (trunked connection) neighbors.  Has anyone run into this?

Hi please post topology and configs.

If I understand the original post correctly the EIGRP redistributed route is received on layer 3 connected neighbors but not received on layer 2 connected neighbors. It seems to me that this is not unexpected. EIGRP is a layer 3 routing protocol and its updates are sent as layer 3 IP packets. How would a layer 2 connected neighbor receive or process a layer 3 routing update?
