Err-disabled GLC-SX-MMD

Hi there,

Thanks for reading.

I have a 2960+ with a GLC-SX-MMD which keeps disabling the port.  Its fiber-connected to another GLC-SX-MMD in a 2960x.  A show inventory on 2960+ shows the gbic and show int transceiver shows voltage but the interface logs a gbic-invalid error and shuts down.

Show interface shows a K value differences though: DLY 10 usec 0n 2960+ but DLY 1000 usec on 2960x.

Have you seen this?

Thanks!

Bob

looks like spanning tree kicking in action, could be for instance bpdu guard on the ports config.'

can you share the port config for both ends

Upgrade the firmware of the switch.
Could be either CSCul88801 or CSCur56395.

Hi, If the SFP is a compatible not original module, you can try with these hidden commands:

- service unsupported-transceiver

- no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid

- errdisable recovery cause all

Regards.
