%Error stat'ing ucode0:jeevesfpga.rbf (No such file or directory) upgrading IOS on IE2000

Hello there, i am trying to upgrade the IOS on an IE2000 and i have tried everything. files on flash, files on sdflash, files in directory, files in root. i cannot get this switch to "upgrade jeeves"

I am in a constant loop of:

Hi Ricky,

The jeevesfpga.rbf file is stored in the TAR file at

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286226353&softwareid=280805680&release=15.2.4-EA5&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=ED&reltype=latest

not in the IOS image itself, so correctly, you should decompress the entire TAR file to your flash. Also, to avoid hitting CSCuh73385, avoid using sdflash.

i got it to boot up using the old ios, i am going to try this and report back.
i previously tried untar and move the IOS and the jeeves files manually and that did not work, let me give this a shot.

well that did it! thank you so much.

i guess un taring and manually moving the files was not good enough, by default the upgrade happened on the SDCARD and the FPGA update ran just fine.

i used: archive download-sw /overwrite tftp://172.16.60.250/ie2000-universalk9-tar.152-4.EA5.tar

After successful completion:

Is it possible to recover from rommon without SD card? TFTP, FTP, etc.

Is it possible to upgrade the IE 2000 without using a tar file and just the bin file? I am using the bin file and I keep getting stuck in this loop. I need 15.2.7E2 with just the bin file.
