Hi Folks,

Recently i upgraded IOS image from c2960-lanbase-mz.122-25.SEE2.bin to c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE.bin on Cisco 2960G-24TC-L  for enhancing security. But after sucessful upgradation i got CRC, Input Errors, Drops. What can i do? Also tell me how can i use SSH, SNMP v3 if i have to rollback this image.

Hello Rajeev,

There have been more issues reported regarding the 12.2(55)SE for 2960 series, usually concerned with unusually high CPU loads. It is possible that this IOS version has further issues although it obviously cannot cause input CRC errors. Can you perhaps post the output of the show interfaces output showing the errors on your interface?

There is a newer IOS already available - the 12.2(55)SE1. You may want to try that one, or downgrade to 12.2(53)SE2. All these versions should provide you with both SSH and SNMPv3 if you use the "lanbasek9" feature set.

Best regards,

Peter

Hey Peter,

Congrats to your new "star".

Hello Leo,

Thank you very much, man! There are so many awesome role models having a "good star color" here on NetPro including you!

No need to "butter me up".

I'm here to learn from a "Networking Academy Instructor".

Leo,

No buttering - rather an honest and friendly compliment to you and many other friends here on NetPro. I guess we all are continuously learning from each other and I am very thankful for that.

Best regards,

Peter

Pleasure's all mine.

Rollback to what version?  For SSH to work you need "lanbasek" IOS.

I want to implement SSH and SNMP v3. For this i upgrade IOS image.and then after  i am getting high output drops.
