I have two 3750G switches that are in a stack, and I am seeing these errors in the log:

Do you have Port security configured on your Ports ? what OS version are you running ?

I do not have port security on any ports at all. Please see my post below for the ios version.
Thanks!

Hello Ryan,
What is the IOS version on the switch? Can you provide the exact IOS filename? Do these occur after any specific configuration change on the switch?
ā02-08-2011 08:13 PM
Thanks for the replies. These switches haven't had any config changes in quite a while. I was going in and looking at the logs for a different reason and I just happened to notice this. It's done it on Jan 20th, then again on Jan 26th, then on Feb 4th. In looking closer at the log, it seems that gi2/0/4 always changes its state to down in the middle of this, then back to up when the episode is done. There's nothing relating to gi2/0/4 before all this happens. I'm including the full episode from the log here, from the first entry of the time it starts to last entry of the same time:

Ryan,
Are you seeing any unusual behavior on the switch? Are there any IP phones connected to the switch? If yes, what make are they?
ā02-08-2011 09:10 PM
The only thing unusual was today someone was talking and their phone dropped the call and reregistered. It typically shouldn't do that while on a call even if it loses contact with the call manager server, so we thought that was weird. We have cisco 99xx (I think) phones.
Thanks!

I think you should contact Cisco TAC to have this looked at in more detail. I did a quick search on this error message and came across a couple of bugs but in order to isolate if this fits the symptoms described by an existing bug/or if this is a new bug, it would require indepth reviewing of the switch.
Cheers!
Kapil

Yeah, ok, thanks. That's what I was wondering.

Sorry to reply to such an old post, but I have the same errors in my switch logs and can't seem to find any information on this error other than this post. Were you able to find the cause? Thank you!
