ETHERCHANNEL ON CISCO C9300 SWITCH

Hello Community Members am having some issues with an ether-channel performance configured on Cisco 9300 Switch;

The Port-Channel is used as a trunk port passing a lone vlan : vlan 222.

The vlan 222 was used to setup an SVI linking the two devices together.

A ping between the devices have a ping pattern as seen below. what can be done to make the ping response smooth?

#sh etherchannel summary
Flags: D - down P - bundled in port-channel
I - stand-alone s - suspended
H - Hot-standby (LACP only)
R - Layer3 S - Layer2
U - in use f - failed to allocate aggregator

M - not in use, minimum links not met
u - unsuitable for bundling
w - waiting to be aggregated
d - default port

Number of channel-groups in use: 1
Number of aggregators: 1

Group Port-channel Protocol Ports

interface Vlan222
ip address 99.99.99.2 255.255.255.252

Ping response to the device at the other end:

#ping 99.99.99.1 repeat 100

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 100, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 99.99.99.1, timeout is 2 seconds:

check #show EtherChannel load-balance

try the option :

  • src-dst-ip – Source and destination IP addresses
  •
  • example : port-channel load-balance src-dst-ip

I take this only 2 switches here ...also check where is root bridge for vlan ?

suggest to post the config, also show interface x/x output

this is normal because of CoPP, which protect CPU from high flow packet.
