Etherchannel speed confusion

Hi Experts!

So i'm currently studying CCNP Switch : Switch Port Aggregation with EtherChannel.

In the OCG book it is said that : "This bundle provide a full-duplex bandwidth of up to 1600 Mbps (eight links of Fast Ethernet), 16 Gbps (eight links of GE)."

In my understanding, eight link FE = 800 Mbps.

Could you please explain that?

Hi,

All interfaces will be negotiated on full Duplex speed so per port speed will be 100 Mbps TX and 100 Mbps RX. means it will 200Mbps per port. This is nothing but a sales trick.
