How do you back out a set port channel group (port) admin_group? I started to set the admin group for a couple of ports to get them ready for etherchanneling and now I want to clear the admin group designation for those ports as I will not be etherchanneling them.

Hello Bryan,
if you are using a CatOS C6513 to remove something you need to use the correct clear command
I would expect something like
clear port channel-group mod/port group#
or
set port channel mod/port mode off could do you want.
Hope to help

Don't be concerned about the ports being in the same admin group. As long as you don't configure etherchanneling on those switchports, they will work as regular switchports.
CatOS will dynamically assign admin groups to switchports and there isn't a method to clear it. In other words, you can change the switchports to another admin group but you can't remove the admin group from the switchport config.
