I want to perform some switching on EVE and I am having issue regarding the proper image of a switch.
Right now using: Cisco IOS Software, Solaris Software (I86BI_LINUXL2-ADVENTERPRISE-M), Experimental Version 15.1(20131216:211730) [mmen 106]
the truth is it doesn't support a lot of things. I try to use the catalyst 3750 but it also didn't work in eve. Now my question is I want a lightweight but a proper switch to learn ccnp switching.

You can not 100% replace hardware features in a virtual environment. CML 2.9.X has all new images; you can test most of the features related to CCNP switching.

If you want to try vIOS L2 and L3 if you have more compute

Note : no virtual repalce physical hardware features, but you can test most of the features in related to CCNP.

what do u need/study for ?

as BB mentioned, it's not possible to simulate switch in any virtual labs; u cannot get all features of real switch in a virtual environment. Having said that, IOL image that was used in previous CCIE lab is called Iron. IOL L2/L3 Iron image is as close as u can get. Today, they use c9300 and/or IOS 17.x 

vIOS is also good one; get the latest vIOS image as previous version lack some features.
