Factory reset a WS-C3850-24P-L running Denali 16.3.5b?

How do you execute a factory reset on a WS-C3850-24P-L running Denali 16.3.5b?  There is no documentation relevant to this IOS / hardware combo that works.  Not that I can find, anyways.  The "factory reset" CLI command wasn't introduced until a later version of 16, and the press-and-hold the MODE button does not work, no matter how long I hold it.

So, your version of the software doesn't have this command?

It has it, but it doesn't work. It doesn't reset to factory defaults.

Then the closest you get to factory default maybe the command "write erase"

Oy vey.  Not that I'm venting towards you, but that's just ridiculous that a $1700 switch has no means of resetting to factory defaults.

But I guess your answer IS helpful, though.  It's taught me that I'm going to yank these things out of service, sell them to whoever's buying, and never purchase Cisco switches ever again.  What POS crap.
