Hello all,

On the ASAs if there has been a command change that is different in a newer version of code when you upgrade the code the commands are converted to match what the new commands are in the newer version.  Will routers do the same or will they just ignore anything that does not work on teh new IOS?

Thanks in advance.  replies rated

Cisco routers and switches generally work the same.  I.e. moving up, new versions will usually recognize older commands and convert.  Usually, only if you've jumped lots of versions might the newer not recognize older commands.
