Files uploaded to the router

Hello

I need help please  , i get some files (GUI files)  .rar downloaded from cisco site and i need to upload it to my flash. Is it necessary to convert it to  .tar using 7 zip program or i can upload it to my flash using .rar extension?.

You can unpack the file using the "archive" command.

I know all of that , so it is necessary to convert  .rar file to .tar file using 7 zip  program then i can user archive command , correct me if i am wrong.

i've never encountered a .rar file uploaded on a router's flash.

why not run the GUI in your local PC to save some space on your flash memory?
