hi all,
so i know on the switch, to find a mac you do this
show mac address-table address mac:addr:here
and it will show you the port, but can you do this via the ip address instead, ie find the port via the ip instead
thanks,
rob

i see theres configuration to do before you can do this, unlike the show mac address comamnd
if i enable it, will it consume resources up, as i read it sends a beacon out every 10 seconds?

Depends on the platform and the IOS/IOS-XE version.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with SG platform.
I know, IP Device Tracking is supported in IOS and IOS-XE.
