I'm trying to locate switchports for a handful of servers. From an upstream 4506, I can see them connected off a 3750 stack but when I log on to the 3750 stack and run 'sh mac addr addr <addr>' the addr is not populated in the mac table.
What could be the reason my 4506 can see the MAC connected off the 3750, but that mac is not found in the 3750's table?
Any suggestions on what to check?
Thanks in advance!

The mac-address may have aged out. Try pinging the ip of the servers, then run your show mac-address address

Thanks, tried that but no luck. Aging is set to 5 mins on the 3750.

NIC teaming.

Hey, thanks leolaohoo, there are teamed NICs on the servers in question but these are DRAC NICs (remote access cards) I'm looking for.

there should be something wrong with your 3750 stacks. 3750 can not popoulate mac address without learning
