On Cisco website I only see bin file "cat3k_caa-universalk9ldpe.SPA.03.06.06.E.152-2.E6.bin" to download not packages file. I followed below Path and Chose Catalyst 3850-48T-E

Downloads Home> Products> Switches> Campus LAN Switches - Access> Catalyst 3850 Series Switches> Catalyst 3850-48T-E> Switch IOS XE Software-3.6.6E(MD)

I am looking for answers on three questions.

1. cat3k_caa-iosd-universalk9.SPA.150-1.EZ4.pkg is my current firmware?

2. Am I looking at right IOS file to download?
3. Can I upgrade directly from 03.03.04SE  to cat3k_caa-universalk9ldpe.SPA.03.06.06.E.152-2.E6.bin

Regards,

Raghav.

Hi
03.03.04SE is current looking at your output

you can direct upgrade from 3.3.4 to 3.6.6 it may take a bit longer as the microcode needs to be upgraded but there is no interim image required

you can but your changing from bundle mode to install mode , i use bundle mode .bin some use pkg as it uses less memory on install , you can use either choice is yours but there installed a differently way so read the doc below

Good doc explaining both simply

Your current firmware version is 3.3.4SE

Yes, 3.6.6E is the current recommended version of firmware.

Yes, copy the file to flash and issue the following command:

request platform software package install switch all file flash:/cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.06.E.152-2.E6.bin auto-copy
