First PING or TCP Session timeout or latency

Hello All,

 

I am trying to to identify issue on network that consist Catalyst 4510R +E , having two  L3 Vlan's.

172.28.0.0/16 <<>>10.151.1.0/24

We have application that connecting to a server that reside on 10.151.1.124 tcp port 5080 , and thee issue is on machine fresh boot the clients first time can't connect second attempt connect  and further connecting without an issue

same symptom with ping shows as follows below

Currently i don't have yet the switch config , but i would be glad to have some direction to starting looking for , what could cause or setting in the switch this issues?

sounds like an arp issue , thats what usually happens when the first ping is dropped then works , the default return time i think is only few seconds so if the far end takes longer to return the reply it will see it as a dropped ping , hard to tell woithout seeing some info but i would try set static arp and see if that makes a difference just for that ip
