Try using the SXF series of image. I've been told that will fix it.

I can take some guesses:

Bad IOS on flash

Bad NVRAM (config is corrupted)

Bad flash CF

Bad DRAM on sup engine

Bad sup engine

Start from the top down. Try it in this order and see if one of the following fixes it:

1) Reformat the flash, and re-up a good IOS image.

2) Erase your config. reload. re-paste the config after reload

3) Replace the CF card

4) Try different DRAM

5) CALL TAC

Hi, did you ever get this resolved? I have a 6509-E that I get the same message on at reload time. Cisco had me replace the SUP720 but that didn't fix it. I also removed the compact flash card and did a reload. Still got the message.
